Mechanism

Also for the rectangular sails the biggest challenge was controlling the sail in strong gusts of wind. The designers got around this using the new “compensator” spring system, featuring enclosed air springs for a cleaner neater look and enhanced functionality. When the built-in anemometer measures wind speeds in excess of 50km/h, a sensor actions the motor and the electric awning bar retracts the sail automatically. Two systems are available: The single sailed AX40 and the double sailed AX80.

With the new AX40 or AX80rectangular canopy, bar owners with long narrow terraces have the ideal solution to their shade problems.
